Figurative Language

Aims:
1. IWBAT present my dream for a better future.
2. IWBAT identify the internal and external traits of Amir from Seedfolks.
3. IWBAT define and identify similes and metaphors.

Figurative language is when you mean
something that's not exactly what you say.

Tasks:
1. Do Now: complete sentence or fragment review

2. I, Too, Have a Dream: share visualizations of MLK's dream and present speech

  • Review jigsaw presentation characters: Curtis, Nora, Maricela
  • Read and analyze Amir (pp. 73-81)
